Eithne Luibheid

Eithne Luibhéid is an immigrant from the Irish Republic. She has a Master’s in teaching English as a Second Language, and a PhD in Ethnic Studies from Berkeley. Luibhéid teaches courses on immigration, genders, sexualities, borders, and justice at the University of Arizona. She's the author of Entry Denied, and Pregnant on Arrival, and the co-editor of Queer and Trans Migrants: Dynamics of Illegalization, Detention and Deportation. Her new book, Abolitionist Intimacies: Queer and Trans Migrants Against the Deportation State, will be published in 2025. She likes to walk and eat chocolate.
